October 3, 2005, Committee Meeting Minutes
Meeting was held at the Scout Hut. Attending: Harry Demille, Claudine Lenzer, Frank Golley, Charlie Gowing, Wayne Weeks, Jim Paulino, Carl McAllister, Jeff Hayden
Meeting was opened with a prayer by Harry DeMille.
Secretary’s Report: The June minutes were approved as submitted.
Treasurers Report: Check book balance: $1,763.34.
Arthur Miller reported to the committee that he has completed his eagle project which consist of building some benches and other site improvements. Final presentation of this project was deferred by the committee to the scout meeting on October 4, 2005.
Scout Master Frank Golley noted that the Trip to the Warner Aviation Museum is scheduled for October 8. The camporee is scheduled for October 11-12-13. A trip to the Floyd’s farm is scheduled for October 19-20.
The lake Allatoona cleanup was a great success, participating were scouts Alex Paulino, Frankie Miller, Jacobi Scoggins, D J Gilliard, Chris Beach, Aaron Linzer with adults Frank Golley, Andy Beach, Stewart Grant.
Troop 175 institution representative Buzz McGriff is working on the recruitment of new scouts into the troop.
Harry DeMille advised that cost of troop operations including insurance, camp utilities have increased over the last few years. He request the following increase in fees:
Scout Registration $50.00
Adult Banquet $10.00
Camp 175 registration $25.00
Summer Camp $150.00
News Letter emailed $15.00
News Letter snail Mail $20.00
All fee increase were approved by the board.
Jeff Hayden ask that camp usage fees by out side groups be reevaluated.
Charlie Gowing noted that of the 15 life scouts 11 need to complete personal fitness merit badges. Charlie Gowing as that the comitte consider reinstating the garage sale.
Claudine Linzer ask that all wreath sale orders be turned in by October 18th.
Popcorn sales orders are due on October 25.
