About Troop 175

Learn about Boy Scouts vs. Cub Scouts, meetings dates, joining and more.

Troop 175 = Boy Scouts.

If your boy is in 6th grade or older, he’s the right age for Troop 175 (Boy Scouts).

Boy Scouts or Cub Scouts?

Scouting is divided by age into two main groups:

  • Boy Scout Troops: 6th grade to age 17
  • Cub Scout Packs: 1st to 5th grade

Pack 175 = Cub Scouts

If your boy is less than 10 years old, he’s too young for our Troop, but we encourage you to join Decatur’s Pack 175 (Cub Scouts).
