It’s a FREE camping weekend for all Troops! Volunteers receive meals, housing (if you don't want to tent camp), service hours and event patch! Scouts can earn up to 16 service hours for volunteering. If you want to work on parts of Merit Badges, like "Communication" (#6 or #8) folks will help you complete those items. Please email Stacy Sepeda, stacy.sepeda@scouting.org, to find out other MB options you can do while volunteering. Include another adult on emails to Stacy, preferably with John Chesnut and myself.
If you planning on volunteering (even for just the day) you have until Oct. 16th at 11:59PM to register. Every person needs to fill out their own registration form (including adults) who is planning to attend. You can choose where you want to volunteer on the registration form. Examples include: Shooting Sports (both certified and non-certified helpers), Dining Hall, Activities, Health Officers, Slacklining and “Other”. Electric outlets are available for those with CPAP’s if camping. We’ll discuss this trip more tomorrow.
