Troop 175 was chartered in 1943 by the Decatur First United Methodist Church and has been in continuous operation ever since. The Troop is currently chartered by the Harold Byrd American Legion Post 66 in Avondale Estates, Georgia.

Serving youth ages 11 to 17, we meet every Tuesday evening during the school year. With at least 10 camping trips/events a year our members experience rafting, zip-lining, rock climbing, kayaking, wilderness survival, backpacking and more. In June we wrap up the scouting year with a week at Camp 175, our campground on beautiful Lake Allatoona.
